Improve Your Vibes With Feng Shui At Home

FENG SHUI IN 2020

Feng Shui Your Space

You know when you walk into a room and it just feels right? Say hey to feng shui. We could get into detail about all of the many wellness benefits feng shui has on your mood and health by incorporating it into your home but ultimately it comes down to creating harmony for you in your home. What better time to start than a brand new year?

Rooms

  • Entryway

Start with your entryway. I get it, long day of work, throw all your baggage down or maybe it’s become the area of stuff you’re trying to get rid of and out of the door. A key to the entryway and to feng shui overall? Clear the clutter. Declutter in every room not just the entryway.

“The entry to your home is called the ‘mouth of qi’. This means that the front door is the portal for all the qi, or life force energy, to enter your home and life. It’s one of the most important areas to look at for feng shui,” says feng shui expert, Anjie Cho.

  • Kitchen

Like the entryway, the kitchen carries a lot of energy that can have an affect on your space depending on how it is used and styled within your home. Try using your stove everyday even if it’s just boiling some hot water for tea because that alone activates energy and the stove is said to be connected to prosperity and wellness. Also, throw out all the old food in your fridge that is starting to smell like funk.

“The kitchen represents wealth, abundance, and health. How well we eat directly relates to how we show up in the world,” said Cho.

This room should be open and inviting. Arrange your sofa or chairs in the commanding position, and incorporate decorative colors and green house plants that according to feng shui rules invite wellness, growth and kindness.
